RC Racing
Like any hobby, RC Racing can become quite addictive. Sooner than you think you’ll find yourself rushing home from work or school to your garage workspace to put in time perfecting your RC Racing Plane. There is a certain thrill to your first race, no matter the outcome. But there is an even greater thrill once you see your RC Racing Plane slowly climbing the ranks, getting closer and closer to that number one spot. When you finally get there, though, that’s not the end, like a title fight you’ve got to keep working just as hard to perfect your RC Racing plane because you know there are others, maybe younger kids just like you were, trying to claim your spot.

You’ll find a large community of likeminded RC Racing Plane enthusiasts all over the world who compete to build the fastest propelled RC Racing Plane possible. Competition can be fierce and to get involved in RC Racing you should definitely do your research first if you want to have any shot at success. Most formal RC Racing with planes is done with custom made RC Planes, not ready to fly models. The emphasis of RC Racing isn’t just about who has the fastest plane but on the fun of the competition, for each person competing has the ability to customize and build their RC Racing however they see fit (according to guidelines), giving the person a large amount of creative freedom in their designs. Many people not involved in the RC Racing or just RC aircraft community really don’t understand that at a certain level, building and designing your remote control aircraft is an art, a labor of love that no one can take away. Don’t let them take it way.
Don’t be discouraged if your first few races don’t go quite as well as you expected. Understand that many RC Racing plane enthusiasts are often the most veteran and experienced RC Plane racers. If you are truly seeking success in RC Racing you need to watch these veterans closely, study their RC Planes, don’t be afraid to ask questions. The RC Racing community is often very close nit, and most experienced racers are more than welcome to help out a novice. The best knowledge about how to win with your RC Racing plane is to learn through those who have been where you have been. Ask questions and you’ll probably learn about tweaks and additions to your RC Racing plane that you can make to get the slight upper edge. Just don’t expect them to let you win! RC Racing is a competitive sport just like any other and everyone wants the glory but you’ve got to work hard for it. Do your research, get the best parts, and learn everything you can from those who have been where you are and you are sure to be in the winner’s circle before you know it!
